In a developing country like Pakistan sacrificing economic growth for welfare is a big policy issue. A need for better standard of living for people should be a top priority.
It is very disturbing to note that the social situation is deteriorating at a fast pace in Pakistan, and yet there seems no serious realization and positive efforts to counter this challenge. Pakistan has one of the highest birth rate, lowest literacy rate in our region and diminishing job opportunities for its young people. The lack of job opportunities is producing frustration in our youth. The ill effects of its frustration are evident from the increase in crime rate and lawlessness in our country.
The situation on the environmental aspect is equally disturbing. Ever increasing noise of automobiles is deafening our ears. The irritating odors and constant release of smoke are indicative of ill effects of our otherwise most beneficial and essential process of industrialization. Indiscriminate cutting of trees is diminishing our already very meager forest resources to a dangerous extent, which is becoming constant threat of decreasing oxygen supply for the living creatures.

Realizing the vast potential of providing opportunities to the poor and underprivileged communities in the country, The Pioneer Association for Reformation and Development In Society and Environment (PARADISE) was formed in 1995 as a non-profit, non political and community Based Non-Government Organization (NGO). PARADISE strives for the promotion of quality of life with special emphasis on improvement of literacy and health conditions, mitigation of poverty and environmental issues.
PARADISE was formed by a group of dedicated professionals, who have a blend of foreign and local education. The sponsors have their roots from the rural surrounding and feel committed to develop their native genius to bring about improvement in the quality of life through participation and sense of achievement. They can be involved in wide range of activities to protect the social uplift of the people and the integrity of its environment.
PARADISE is a symbolic word defined as" a state of surpassing delight and the condition of supreme happiness." PARADISE has a pledge to contribute in making this earth a paradise of divine happiness for its inhabitants. PARADISE is a name as well as the aim of our NGO.
